Talisker – 10 Years Old (20cl, 45.8%)

Talisker 10 Years Old is a single malt from the Isle of Skye, bottled at 45.8% in a 200ml bottle. The distillery stands on the shore of Loch Harport at Carbost. Hugh and Kenneth MacAskill founded it in 1830. After a fire in 1960 it was rebuilt by 1962, with the five copper stills reproduced as they were. Talisker runs two wash stills and three spirit stills, and the lyne arms lead out to wooden worm tubs. The nose brings maritime peat smoke with soft malt notes, salty sea air and a smoky spiciness.
