This is Talisker 18 Years Old, a single malt from the Isle of Skye, matured for 18 years in oak casks and bottled at 45.8% in a 70cl bottle. Talisker is the only single malt Scotch whisky made on the island, on the shore of Loch Harport below the Cuillin peaks.
The distillery was founded in 1830 by Hugh MacAskill. This 18 year old was distilled in 1995.
It is typically described as balanced and spiced, with the classic peat notes of the distillery.
