Talisker Dark Storm is a single malt from the Isle of Skye, made as a travel retail edition and bottled at 45.8% ABV in a 1 litre bottle. It is chill-filtered and has added colouring.
The whisky is matured in heavily charred oak casks, which bring sweet oak and strong spice to its smoky, maritime character.
On the nose are smoked ham, pepper and chilli, with vanilla and malt. The palate combines sweet oak and peat smoke with sour cherry compote, fresh lemon and honey. The finish is very long, with roasted nuts and Talisker's peppery spice.
