Wilder Seas is a limited edition Talisker single malt, made with Parley for the Oceans and bottled at 48.6% in a 70cl bottle. It is the first Talisker finished in French oak casks that previously held XO cognac.
The glass is fully recycled, apart from the closure, ceramic decoration and label, and the ceramic lines echo the seabed off Skye. A recycled paper tag replaces outer packaging, and Talisker donates three pounds to Parley for every bottle.
The nose offers malt bread with sultanas, dates and dried figs, alongside brine and a little pipe tobacco. The palate is soft and creamy, with salt, smoke, figs and building pepper. The finish is long, warming and slightly drying.
