Tamdhu 18 Years is a Speyside single malt, bottled at 46.8% in a 70cl bottle. It is among the older expressions in the distillery's core range.
The whisky was matured in seasoned Oloroso sherry casks, and the release is limited to 18,000 bottles.
The nose is dry and nutty sherry with cherry, milk chocolate, rum-soaked raisins, citrus, baked oats and plum. The palate is rich and complex, with sherry, vanilla, brown sugar, red apple and dried fruit. The finish is long and warm, with dried apricot, dates, gentle spice and stewed apple.
