Tamdhu Strength Batch 5 is the fifth release of cask strength whisky from the Speyside distillery Tamdhu, which dates its beginnings to 1897 and matures its spirit exclusively in sherry oak casks. The nose is aromatic, with orange sweets, cinnamon swirls, toasted oak and mint chocolate. Plum, juicy raisin, fried banana and raspberry jam doughnuts lead the palate, with oak spice behind them. The finish brings chocolate fudge and a whisper of smoke, with sweet cinnamon returning.
