This is a 16 year old Speyside single malt from Tamdhu, distilled in 2009 and bottled by Rare Find, the independent label of Gleann Mor Spirits Company. It is bottled at 51.7% in a 70cl bottle.
After maturation, it was finished for 10 months in a first-fill, medium-char American oak hogshead. The hogshead had been seasoned for 24 months with Oloroso sherry at Bodegas Barbadillo.
The nose has golden syrup, vanilla pod, apple and citrus. The palate is juicy and sweet, with candied orange, milk chocolate, chewy toffee and nutmeg, followed by a warm, sweet finish.
