Tamdhu – Batch Strength No. 007 (70cl, 57.5%)

Tamdhu Batch Strength No. 007 is the seventh release in the distillery's Batch Strength series, a Speyside single malt bottled at 57.5% in a 70cl bottle. It is bottled without chill filtering and has a deep natural coppery colour. It was matured in Oloroso sherry-seasoned casks from the bodegas of Jerez, Spain, which reflects the distillery's commitment to sherry-matured whisky. The nose is subtle vanilla, spiced cinnamon and toasted praline. The palate is thick and rich with raspberry, and a drop of water brings caramelised apricot, oak spice and lemon pepper. The long finish moves from warm oak spice to ripe figs, sherry and freshly peeled orange.
