Teeling 15 Years Explorers Series Japanese Edition (70cl, 46%)

This is a 15 year old Irish whiskey from Teeling, part of its Explorers Series and bottled as the Japanese Edition at 46%. It comes in a 70cl bottle. The whiskey matured in ex-bourbon casks and was then finished in ex-mugi shochu casks. Mugi shochu is a spirit distilled from barley and later blended with genshu, a kind of sake. Tasting notes mention roasted barley, lychee, passion fruit and other exotic fruit.
