Teeling – Blackpitts Peated Single Malt Irish Whiskey (70cl, 46%)

Teeling Blackpitts Peated is an Irish single malt, bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle without chill filtration. It is named after the Blackpitts area of Dublin's Liberties, behind the Teeling distillery in Newmarket, a district traditionally home to some of Ireland's largest barley malting houses. The barley is dried with peat smoke, and the whiskey is triple distilled. This gives a smoke closer to barbecue than to the medicinal character of a traditional Scottish peated malt. It matures in ex-bourbon and ex-Sauternes white wine casks, an approach taken from a Teeling 24 Year Old that was named World's Best Single Malt in 2019.
