Teeling Single Grain is an Irish single grain whiskey bottled at 46%. It is matured in Californian Cabernet Sauvignon casks, which makes it unusual among Irish single grain whiskeys. It was named Best Grain Whiskey at the World Whiskies Awards in 2014.
The nose is honeyed apple and red grape, with vanilla, spice, evaporated milk and brown sugar. The palate is light and buttery, with treacle and developing dried cranberry. The finish runs to golden syrup tart, egg custard and spicy cereal.
