Teeling – Wonders of Wood 3: Swedish Virgin Oak Single Pot Still (70cl, 50%)

Teeling Wonders of Wood 3 is an Irish single pot still whiskey, the third release in Teeling's Wonders of Wood series. It is bottled at 50% in a 70cl bottle. It is distilled at Teeling's Dublin distillery from a mix of malted and unmalted barley, then fully matured in virgin Swedish oak casks. The series explores how different oaks shape flavour, and a native tree is planted in Ireland for each release. The nose is sweet oak and warm spice, with vanilla, clove and honeyed cereal. The palate is rich and full-bodied, with toffee, roasted nuts and baking spice, and a dry, woody spice from the Swedish oak. The finish is long and warming, with pepper, caramel and toasted oak.
