Templeton – Fortitude Bourbon (46%)

Templeton Fortitude is a straight bourbon, and the first from the Templeton brand to be distilled and aged entirely at its own facility in Templeton, Iowa. The mash bill is high in rye: 55% locally sourced corn, 40% rye and 5% malted barley. It is bottled without chill-filtration at 46% ABV (92 proof). The nose offers honeycomb, vanilla bean, toasted oak and peppery rye spice. On the palate caramel, butterscotch and honey meet citrus peel, cinnamon and black pepper, and the finish is long and warm, with sweet oak and baking spice.
