Templeton Single Barrel Rye is a ten-year-old American rye from Iowa, bottled at a natural cask strength of 52%. It matured in new, charred American oak barrels, and it is non-chill-filtered with no added colour.
The mash bill is 95% rye and 5% malted barley.
The nose brings chocolate, vanilla, toasted oak, green apple and apricot. Caramel, dark oak, floral honey and rye spice follow on the palate, and the finish is long with a clear butterscotch note.
