Templeton Rye Barrel Strength is a rye whiskey from Indiana, bottled at 57.4% in a 70cl bottle. This is the 2023 edition, a limited release bottled in 2023 without chill-filtration or added colouring.
The whiskey is matured in charred new American oak.
The nose shows ripe apples, warm cinnamon and a fine trace of orange. On the palate, creamy toffee and raisins meet strong rye spice, and the finish is long and powerful yet surprisingly soft.
