This is a single-estate añejo tequila from Tequila Ocho, made from 100% Blue Weber agave grown at Las Raíces Estate in Los Altos, Jalisco. It is a 2024 release, made without additives and bottled at 48% ABV.
The tequila spent 12 months in Old Fitzgerald 10-Year Spring 2023 Decanter Series wheated bourbon barrels, which add a bourbon-cask dimension to the estate's agave character.
The nose offers toasted coconut, nuts, cherries, dark chocolate, maple syrup and roasted pineapple over a light minerality. On the palate there is coffee, toffee, toasted oak, orange peel and plenty of cacao, with layered agave richness. The finish is gently sweet, with mellow toasted oak and a clean return of agave.
