This is the seventh batch of Highland Park from That Boutique-y Whisky Company: a 26 year old single malt from the Orkney distillery, bottled at 50.2% ABV. Batch 7 ran to 598 bottles.
The nose is pear tart, heather honey and brandy butter, with fresh ginger and a pinch of sea salt. On the palate come hot chocolate, lemon zest and earthy peat, developing into charred oak and cigar box. The finish brings lavender, mint leaf, baking spices and soft smoke.
