This is a three-year-old Australian whisky from Tin Shed, bottled by That Boutique-y Whisky Company in a 50cl bottle at 48% ABV. It comes from the independent bottler's Australian series, in an outturn of 487 bottles. The whisky was first matured in two small ex-Tawny Port casks, then moved into an ex-Pinot Gris cask, an unusual choice in whisky production. Tin Shed distils in short, fat, electrically heated copper pot stills, which give plenty of copper contact and a big, oily spirit. The distillery began producing whisky in 2013 and uses local barley where it can.
