The Blend of Nikka Maltbase is a Japanese blended malt from Nikka, made with malt whiskies from the Yoichi and Miyagikyo distilleries. It is bottled at 45% ABV in a 66cl bottle.
The word maltbase in the name implies that the blend contains no grain whisky, only malt from the two distilleries.
A range of cask types was used in the vatting.
