This is the first release of an eight-year-old single malt from The Borders Distillery, whose spirit first ran from its stills in 2018. It was matured in first-fill bourbon barrels, which bring caramel, vanilla, honey and a soft, rounded sweetness. A final maturation in Madeira casks adds rich sultanas, warmth and greater depth.
