This is a blended whisky from The Borders Distillery, built around two batches of spirit made with very different fermentation times: one of 55 hours and one of 150 hours. Both batches were distilled twice and matured in first-fill ex-bourbon barrels, then married with single grain whisky. The longer fermentation brings fig pudding, butterscotch and sultanas, while the shorter one adds gooseberry skin, citrus zest and green apple.
