The Dalmore 12 Year Old Sherry Cask Select is a Highland single malt Scotch whisky crafted by Master Distiller Richard Paterson, in a 75cl bottle. It spends its first ten years in American white oak ex-bourbon casks, then is finished in a bespoke blend of seasoned Oloroso and Pedro Ximenez sherry casks from Jerez.
The colour is a deep mahogany red, with a silky, full-bodied mouthfeel. The nose is caramelised orange, ginger, nutmeg, sweet raisins and honeyed malt. The palate brings dark chocolate, crushed almonds, cinnamon, marzipan and sweet plum jam. The finish is long and warm, with fresh mango, panna cotta, citrus zest and sweet sherry wood spice.
