The Dalmore 15 Year Old is a Highland single malt Scotch whisky bottled at 43% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It spends its first twelve years in bourbon barrels. The remaining time is divided equally between Matusalem, Apostles and Amoroso casks.
The blend of casks was put together by Richard Paterson, known as The Nose.
The nose is soft, with dried fruit, hazelnuts and dry spice. The palate recalls Christmas cake, with raisins, currants, cherries, cinnamon and nutmeg. The finish is sweet and raisiny, and lingers for a long time.
