The Dalmore 17 is a 17 year old Highland single malt, bottled at 42% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It is the first new addition to the Principal Collection since 2022. About twelve years in American white oak ex-bourbon casks are followed by around five years in Amoroso, Apostoles and Matusalem Oloroso sherry casks. Apostoles adds structure and savoury, nutty depth, Matusalem brings richness and lasting sweetness, and Amoroso joins dry and sweet sides with caramel, roasted nuts and fine spice. The nose combines Seville orange, ripe garden fruit and woody spice. The palate offers poached pear, wild berries, toffee and orange marmalade. The long finish keeps orange, dark chocolate, dried fruit, cinnamon and nutmeg.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
