The Dalmore 21 Year Old is the 2022 edition in a series of five annual releases of this expression, bottled at 43.8% in a 70cl bottle.
It matured first in American oak ex-bourbon casks, then spent a finishing period in Gonzalez Byass casks that had previously held 30-year-old Matusalem oloroso sherry.
The nose brings Seville orange, Colombian coffee, rich vanilla and bitter dark chocolate. On the palate there are sweet liquorice, blackberries, walnuts and marzipan, followed by a finish of peaches, ginseng and more orange citrus.
