The Dalmore – Aged 12 Years (75cl, 40%)

The Dalmore 12 Years Old is a single malt that arrived in late 2008, replacing the previous 12 year old. It is matured in American white oak ex-bourbon casks and then finished in aged oloroso sherry casks, and is bottled at 40% in a 75cl bottle. It is a toasty, coffee-rich whisky with spice and a thick mouthfeel. The nose combines roasted coffee beans, oily espresso nuttiness, malt, buttery pastry and orange. On the palate there is Seville marmalade, triple sec, winter spices and fruitcake with zesty cocoa and milk chocolate, followed by a medium finish of oranges.
