The Dalmore – King Alexander III Single Malt Scotch Whisky (70cl, 40%)

A single malt Scotch whisky from The Dalmore, bottled at 40% in a 700ml bottle and made in honour of King Alexander III of Scotland, whose life was saved by a Mackenzie ancestor. It is described as the first single malt matured in six cask types: bourbon, Matusalem Oloroso sherry, Madeira, Marsala, Port and Cabernet Sauvignon barriques. The whisky is finished in a sherry butt. The nose brings red berries, vanilla and tropical notes. The palate offers citrus zest, crème caramel and crushed almonds, and the finish is long and warming with nutmeg, ginger and clove.
