Dalmore Port Wood Reserve is a Highland single malt, bottled at 46.5% in a 70cl bottle. It matures first in American white oak ex-bourbon casks, then in Tawny Port pipes, and is finished in In-situ casks. The distillery's stills are unusual in having a cooling jacket around the neck.
The whisky is amber gold in colour. Sweet red berries, Seville oranges and toffee pudding show on the nose, and the palate offers nectarines, creamy caramel, roasted chestnut and Java coffee.
