This is an 18 year old Highland single malt from The Dalmore, part of its Select Editions series and drawn from casks distilled in 2006. It is bottled at 47.2% ABV with natural colour and without chill filtration.
The whisky matured in American white oak ex-bourbon barrels and was then enhanced with selected Matusalem and Amoroso sherry casks.
The nose brings sherry-soaked raisins, roasted figs, cedar and honey. On the palate, dark fruits mix with liquorice and cacao, then bergamot and blood orange appear. The finish is long, with old sherry notes, ripe berries, liquorice, cassia bark and dark chocolate.
