The Dalmore Trio is a single malt from the northern Highlands distillery near Alness, in a one-litre bottle at 40%. It is matured in three types of cask: first-fill ex-bourbon barrels, tawny port pipes and 30-year-old Matusalem sherry casks.
The nose offers dark berries, dried fruit and a sweet spice. On the palate come rich dried fruit, creamy toffee and vanilla, rounded off by delicate nuts and oak. The long finish brings herbs, chocolate and a light woody spice.
