The Gospel – Solera Rye Whiskey (70cl, 42.5%)

The Gospel Solera Rye is a double-distilled rye whiskey in a 70cl bottle, bottled at 42.5%. It is aged in a bespoke five-tiered solera system filled with new American oak, second fill American oak and Australian red wine barrels. The whiskey moves through the tiers in the way sherry, port and even beer have long been aged, and is described as soft and smooth with more character than expected. The nose brings baking spices, rich caramel and stewed plum with port wine. The palate has sweet oak, orchard fruits, dark toffee and brown sugar, and the finish is long, with dried fruits and fresh spice.
