The Gospel Straight Rye is an Australian rye whiskey made from single-sourced grain and aged in Melbourne's climate. It is double distilled and matured for at least two years, then bottled at 45% in a 70cl bottle. The whiskey has a medium body, with rye spice balanced by vanilla oak. On the nose there is buttery dark rye bread with spice and light toffee. The palate offers caramel, vanilla, allspice, clove, pepper and green apple, and the finish brings dried red fruit, crème caramel and woody spices.
