The Irishman Cask Strength 2023 is an Irish whiskey from Walsh Whisky, released as the 2023 edition of its annual cask strength bottling. It is limited to 8,400 bottles.
The whiskey was matured in first-fill American oak bourbon barrels and bottled at 55.3% ABV without chill filtration.
The nose is sweet vanilla, honey and soft spice with warm wood behind. On the palate it is velvety but powerful, with toffee, toasted oak, ripe stone fruit and gentle spice. The finish is long and warm, with bourbon sweetness and a light spiciness.
