The Macallan 18 Year Old 1995 is a Highland single malt matured exclusively in sherry oak casks from Jerez, Spain. It is the 1995 vintage edition of the Macallan 18 Year Old, bottled at 43%.
The sherry casks are said to bring flavours of dried fruit, ginger and sweet toffee.
On the nose it offers crisp citrus, dried fruit and ginger, with hints of vanilla and cinnamon. The palate is rich with dried fruit, spice, clove, orange and wood smoke, followed by stewed apple, cinnamon and deep oak. The finish is full and lingering.
