The Nikka Tailored is a blended whisky from Japan, in a 70cl bottle at 43% ABV. It brings together malts from Nikka's two distilleries, Yoichi and Miyagikyo, with coffey grain. Yoichi contributes its distinctive peat aroma, and Miyagikyo adds a strong sherry character. The bottle's design is said to resemble the collar of an overlapping kimono, reflecting malt and grain laid over one another in the blend.
The nose is rich, with ripe fruit, honey, vanilla and oak, and hints of peat smoke and spice. The palate is full-bodied, with sweet fruit, spice and oak, and the peat smoke is more pronounced. The finish is long, with fruit, spice and oak and a quieter peat smoke.
