The Representative is a small-batch, barrel-proof straight bourbon bottled by Proof & Wood Ventures in a 75cl bottle. The whiskey comes from Ross & Squibb Distillery (MGP) in Indiana and is a high-rye style.
It was aged for a minimum of four years in new charred oak barrels, and is bottled uncut and non-chill filtered.
The nose combines vanilla, bright orange, charred oak and brown sugar. On the palate, high-proof warmth meets caramel, vanilla and ripe fruit, with a little leather and a prominent peppery rye spice. The finish is long and warm, with vanilla, oak tannins and black pepper.
