The Sexton – Single Malt Irish Whiskey (70cl, 40%)

This is an Irish single malt from The Sexton, bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle. It was created by Alex Thomas, made from 100% Irish malted barley and triple-distilled in copper pot stills. The whiskey is aged in Oloroso sherry butts, which give it a rich colour and dried fruit character. The nose starts with honeyed malt, nuts and dark chocolate, followed by marzipan, allspice and fruit. The palate is clean and mellow, with honeyed malt, rich dried fruit, spices, nuts and sweet oils. The finish is gentle wood with honey sweetness, fading slowly.
