This is a 12 year old single malt from an Orkney distillery, distilled in 2006 and bottled by Elixir Distillers as Parcel #1 of the Reserve Cask range for The Single Malts of Scotland. It is drawn from a hand-selected group of four to six casks and bottled at 48% in a 70cl bottle.
The nose is fresh and citrusy, with earthiness, minerality and a faint note of ash. The palate is fresh, oily, sweet and smoky, and the finish is long, sweet, heathery and smoky.
