The Whistler Calvados Cask Finish is a triple-distilled Irish blend of malt and grain whiskeys from Boann Distillery in County Meath, bottled at 43% in a 75cl bottle. It is non-chill filtered.
The whiskey is first aged in ex-bourbon barrels, then finished in casks that held Calvados from Normandy in France.
The nose is of baked apple, vanilla, orchard blossom and caramel. On the palate there is juicy pear, creamy malt, toffee and light spice, and the finish is bright and fruity, with hints of apple peel and oak.
