Thomas H. Handy Sazerac 2011 6 Year Old Bottled 2017 (75cl, 63.6%)

This is Thomas H. Handy Sazerac, a Kentucky straight rye whiskey from Buffalo Trace distillery and part of its Antique Collection of annual releases. It is a distillery bottling in a 750ml bottle. The rye was distilled in 2011 and bottled in 2017 at six years old, at a natural cask strength of 63.6%. The barrels were filled at 62.5%, and the strength rose slightly in the humid conditions of the Buffalo Trace warehouses. The name comes from the New Orleans bartender often credited with popularising rye whiskey in the Sazerac cocktail.
