Bøg-PX is a new version of Thy Whisky's beech-smoked single malt, matured in first fill PX sherry casks since 2019-2020. It is bottled close to cask strength. The beech smoke is light and smouldering, with a soft fruity, malty sweetness beneath it. The smoke blends with the deep sweetness of the PX casks, and warm, spiced vanilla and a slight edge of oak join in. A little water brings out a mild vanilla sweetness while the smoke recedes. The finish carries coffee and chocolate.
