Fjordboen is a single malt from Thy Whisky, matured in sherry casks and made without peat smoke. It is bottled at 49.5%.
This bottling includes a single bourbon barrel, which adds fresh oak, honey and vanilla. The spirit is made from pale malt along with the darker, aromatic Vienna and Munich malts, which together with the casks give caramel and nougat.
It has an elegant malt sweetness and a winey note from the sherry, with apricots and dried fruit, and a long, soft finish.
