Tiger Snake Rye of the Tiger Australian Rye (70cl, 43%)

Rye of the Tiger is an Australian rye whiskey from Tiger Snake, bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle. It is made from Western Australian ingredients, using a mash of 60% rye and 40% pale malted barley. It was twice distilled in small-batch copper pot stills at the Porongurup Distillery. The nose is spicy, with green pepper, herbs, grass, peppermint and light pear blossom. On the palate, savoury stewed sour fruit from the rye sits beside sweet light fruit and vanilla from the oak. The finish is savoury and herbal, with a mouth-filling sweetness.
