Rye of the Tiger is an Australian rye whiskey from Tiger Snake, made with 100% Western Australian ingredients. The mash is 60% rye and 40% pale malt barley, twice distilled in small-batch copper pot stills at the Porongurup Distillery. It is bottled at 55% ABV in a 70cl bottle. The nose is spicy, with green pepper, herbs, grass, peppermint and light pear florals. The palate has savoury stewed sour fruit from the rye alongside sweet light fruit and vanilla from the oak. The finish is savoury and herbal, with a mouth-filling sweetness that develops with each sip.
