Timboon Smoky 1881 is an Australian single malt whisky in a 50cl bottle at 47% ABV. It was aged in 200 litre American oak barrels that previously held tawny port.
A small amount of Scottish peat was used to give the barley a smoky profile.
The nose shows tawny cask florals, apricot and perhaps fruit cake. The palate is savoury, slightly salty and earthy. The finish carries wispy smoke and spice, with a slightly Scottish character.
