Tin Shed – 3 Year Old That Boutique-y Whisky Company Batch 1 (50cl, 48%)

This is a 3-year-old Australian single malt from Tin Shed distillery in Adelaide, bottled by That Boutique-y Whisky Company as Batch 1 in its Spring 2021 Australia Series. Tin Shed's whisky is usually released as Iniquity. The spirit was first filled into two small tawny 'port' casks, which were then vatted together in a larger wine cask that had held Australian Pinot Gris. It was bottled at 48%, giving 487 individually numbered 50cl bottles. The nose is of Cherry Bakewell tarts, Battenberg cake and dried apricot. The palate is thick and chewy, with red berries and toasted malt.
