Togouchi 9 Year Old

Togouchi 9 Year Old is a Japanese-style blended whisky, blended by the Sakurao distillery. It was aged for nine years in bourbon barrels and is made from 38% malted barley. The whisky is aged in an old railway tunnel 70km from the distillery. The high humidity and cool temperature there limit the influence of the wood, which leaves a light whisky with a clear colour. It is described as fruity, spicy and woody, with notes of white flowers, honey and peppermint.
