Togouchi Beer Cask Finish Japanese Blended Whisky (70cl, 40%)

Togouchi Beer Cask Finish is a Japanese blended whisky from Sakurao Distillery, bottled at 40% ABV in a 70cl bottle. The whisky is aged in casks that previously held French IPA beer. Those casks had themselves first been used for ageing, in oak barrels that had matured rum in French Martinique. The result is a blend of a refreshing hop aroma and the bitterness of the IPA, with honey notes from the rum and the sweetness of roasted apples from the wood finish.
