Togouchi Kiwami (70cl, 40%)

Togouchi Kiwami is a Japanese blend of malt and grain whisky from the Sakurao Distillery. It contains just under 20% malted barley and is distilled entirely in Japan, then matured in oak casks and blended. The casks rest in an underground cellar near Akiota-Togouchi, where the conditions slow the extraction from the wood. The whisky is bottled at 40% ABV, chill-filtered and without added colour. The nose is light and elegant, with walnut and grass. Hazelnut, chocolate and honey meet white pepper on the palate, sweet and gently spiced. The finish is restrained, fading with spice and nutmeg.
