Togouchi Premium Japanese Blended Whisky (70cl, 40%)

This is a Japanese blended whisky from Sakurao Distillery in Hatsukaichi, Hiroshima, bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle. It blends malt and grain whiskies distilled and matured at the distillery, drawing on whisky first aged in the Togouchi Tunnel. The distillery sits between the Seto Inland Sea and the Chugoku Mountains, where warm sea breezes and cool mountain air shape the maturation. The nose is nuts and fruit. The palate is sweet with vanilla and milk chocolate and moderate acidity, and the finish is full-bodied and sweet with a woody aftertaste.
